The first successful diet

Three years ago I decided to go on the “17 Day Diet” by Dr Mike Moreno. Basically you cut out sugar, bread and high fats. So lean protein, most and green vegetables and carrots, low sugar fruit, probiotic foods such as yoghurt, sauerkraut, eggs, and green tea. For the first 17 days your meat is chicken and fish is allowed.

my typical day was:

Breakfast

2 Eggs scrambled on their own or with low fat milk       1 cup of tea (preferably green)

Lunch

Large green salad, topped with Tuna (in spring water)   One Apple

1 cup of tea

Dinner

Plenty of grilled Chicken with liberal amounts of green vegetable and carrots.      Sugar free jelly for dessert.

1 cup of tea

Snacks

6oz low fat and sugar yoghurt

1 low sugar fruit, usually an apple

I pretty much stuck to this for 17 days  and lost 4kg a great start. My Irritable bowel was heaps better with out the bread. In the next post I will tell what happened next.
